Federal Criminal Practice: A Seventh Circuit Handbook, it is the only authoritative volume analyzing federal criminal law in the Seventh Circuit.  The topics covered include substantive federal offenses, their elements, and related sentencing guidelines; pretrial, trial and appellate issues. The product of years of careful study and practical application by partners Michael Monico and Barry Spevack, it is a legal resource that has been highly praised by many criminal law practitioners. Richard H. Parsons, Chief Federal Public Defender for the Central District of Illinois, described it as “a learned and illuminating study of criminal practice and law.”  The 2015 edition is available for purchase in both hard copy and e-book format from Lexis Nexis.
